The Fargo Family: Monkey Bizness, Pizza, Park, and Grandma!

Another busy end of the week/weekend at the Fargo House! Like a friend of mine recently mentioned in her last blog post, I feel SO fortunate to have the part time work schedule that I do and to be able to spend so much time with my little Moo. I am so blessed and so very fortunate!

On Thursday we went to Monkey Bizness with our friends Susan & Daniel and Melissa & Anderson. The kids had a lot of fun and all played in the "big kid" area. The last time Madison went to Monkey Bizness she was only 7 months old, so this time, it was a whole new world for her!! She climbed on EVERYTHING, of course and loved going down all the slides (all but the big one), by herself :) She loves being a big girl, but it makes mommy sad sometimes :( Even though it got quite crazy in there, we had a fun time with our friends!

On Friday night we went to pizza with our friends Casey, Amanda, and Elliot. We ordered a spinach pizza for the kids and they loved it...until the end, when Madison had had enough! Elliot on the other hand was a machine, and Casey even started to call him "big slice" because he LOVED eating the whole slice, not little toddler bites :)

Saturday morning, we walked downtown and played at a new park (not newly built, just new to us). Madison had such a fun time playing in the sand and climbing up all the climbing structures!

And today, Grandma Cindy was here (she came in yesterday afternoon) and we had a great day! Grandma is here to watch Madison for half of the week while Miss Kiki is out of town, and she was SO nice to come in a day early so that we could go to two 30th birthday parties for our friends Drew and Christen...we had a great night with friends! So this morning, we took a nice long walk to Starbucks and played around outside. We all had a great day and are so happy that Grandma is here!

Madison thought that it would be fun to climb over this bar rather than going up the stair :) Unfortunately, she kind of flipped over the bar but she was ok!

This picture is super blurry, but this these are our friends Melissa and Anderson going down the big blow up slide...Madison and I went down too, and it was fast!!!

Going down the slide like a big girl...she loves to climb up the stairs and go down the slide all by herself.

Up at Starbucks Madison had a yummy breakfast sandwich, and Ellie kept wanting a bite...of course, but she settled for licking Madison's hand

Everytime Madison hear a car pull up or pull away, she would turn in her chair, stand up, and say "hi" or "bye bye"...she is such a social little girl!

We told her to wipe her mouth, and she did :)

On our walk back from Starbucks, Madison got out of the stroller and walked for a while...she loved going down this big hill with Grandma

Walking on the path home with Grandma and Daddy. Grandma was gently leading Madison back on the path because Madison kept wanting to go down the grassy hill into the water!

Yea Madison!! She is only drinking milk out of cups now...so surprisingly, the transition happened in a day. The other morning, we decided to try the cup and to not do a bottle and she did great! No problems at all! and she loves it! My baby is getting so big :(

Madison loves pointing to body/facial parts...she has been able to identify them for a while now, but now she is clearly, expressively labeling them too (before she had a few of the sounds, but now the whole word...appropriate for her age of course...just because I am a speech therapist doesn't mean I've got her her /r/ already like in "ear" :) ). So today, she went back and forth between Grandma, Mommy, and Daddy labeling "ear"...it was so cute :)

And then onto labeling and counting knees :) Notice Ellie loving the grass in the background?

Ellie looks SO sad here, but I think she was really just sleepy and comfy...here she was laying on Grandma's lap on the couch...such a treat to be on the couch!

Our climbing little monkey knows how to get on the couch and today she was just SO silly. She thought that climbing on the couch and jumping off (into mommy's arms of couse) was hilarious!! Normally not a behavior we allow, but she was having SO much fun and I think she was showing off a little for Grandma!
